Lotus flowers are currently in bloom at Kamal Pokhari in Bode, Madhyapur Thimi-8, Bhaktapur.
The land of the pond, which had been registered in the names of several individuals a few years ago, has since been reclaimed.
The municipality has been conserving the pond following its reclamation. Lotus flowers were planted after the pond was reconstructed with the municipality’s support.
The pond is now home to fish and has also become a habitat for migratory birds. It has emerged as a tourist attraction as well.
