Police arrest protestors of civil society movement

Kathmandu, December 15

The police arrested the protestors of the civil society movement (Brihat Nagarik Andolan).

They were arrested while moving from Bhadrakali to Maitighar Mandala demanding justice for loan shark victims.

They were arrested as they marched towards the no-protest zone designated by the District Administration Office, Kathmandu.

Those arrested are Sanjeev Upreti, Basanta Chippa, Praneta, Abhaya Shrestha, Aarati Shah’s family, Nirga Nabeen, Gobinda Chantyal and others.

They have been taken to the Nepal Police Club.
