Snowfall affects daily life in Jumla

Snowfall in Jumla

Jumla, January 16

Snowfall has affected the daily life of people in Jumla, a remote district in Karnali province. While the snow from a recent fall was yet to melt, a new round of snowfall has begun in the district on Thursday morning.

All hills in the districts are currently blanketed white. The bad weather has affected the regular operation of government offices and transport vehicles. The air transport has been suspended.

The local government authorities have urged the public to protect themselves from the unfavourable situation. Even though, the number of patients of common cold and cough admitted to hospitals has increased, informs Dr Arjun Tiwari at Karnali Academy of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital.
