Biratnagar, March 7

Rastriya Janata Party Nepal leader Rajendra Mahato says his party withdrew support extended to the government after the government failed to keep its promises.

RNPN  withdrew its support after its Member of Parliament and Tikapur carnage conspirator Resham Chaudary and 11 others were sentenced to life imprisonment by the Kailali district Court on Wednesday.

Speaking with journalists at Biratnagar Airport, Mahato along with members of the presidium Sarad Singh Bhandari and Mahendra Rai Yadav said that they would again fight for their rights.

Mahato added that they were withdrawing the support as the government hadn’t amended the constitution which looked down on the Madheshi population.

He also added that the government had done injustice to the people of Madhesh by sentencing Chaudary to life in prison. Mahato argued that it was wrong to sentence Chaudhary to life in prison because this was a political case.
