What will Dahal do during his daylong Delhi trip?

Kathmandu, October 26

Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal left for a visit to New Delhi, the Indian capital, on Friday morning. He is scheduled to return home after taking part in an event today itself.

Dahal will be the chief guest of the function to be organised by India Foundation.

Speaking with journalists at the Tribhuvan International Airport today, Dahal said he would address the programme, highlighting the party’s perspectives on development Nepal and South Asia region.

The former prime minister clarified that he would not hold any political meeting during the Delhi sojourn this time.

This is Dahal’s second Delhi visit in past two months. He had visited India and China at an interval of few days in September.

During that visit, he had held meetings with key Indian political leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In has been learned that the organisers had invited Prime Minister and another chairman of the party, KP Sharma Oli, to the event. Oli, however, chose to send Dahal.
