Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa has said that the government is concerned about the ‘terrorist’ activities by Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN).

Minister Thapa was questioned by the media regarding the bomb blast at Ncell head office, which the group claimed responsibility of.

Responding to them, he said, “We are aware of what they are doing. The government is looking into this case seriously and we will soon control these extremist activities.”

Minister Thapa also added that as soon as the federal police and provincial police bill was passed in parliament, safety and security would improve significantly in provinces and local units.

He also added that investigations were ongoing to book the culprit(s) involved in the rape and murder of 13-year-old Nirmala Pant.

“We face a problem because officials who were looking into the case in the beginning were irresponsible. But be rest assured we will find the culprit(s).”
