The Tangalwood Music Festival just showed a lot of promise. The bright cheery day of September 21 was to follow with an eventful night of music.

The start with Rishab Seen, with his blend of electronic metal with classic Sitar took some time to seep in, but it did.

Soon afterwards, it was time! The Aristocrats, for the laymen, are a supergroup consisting of Guthrie Govan (guitar Virtuoso) Bryan Beller (Bass Virtuoso) and Marco Minneman ( Everything Virtuoso).

The boys on stage then proceeded to penetrate everybody’s state of mind by playing songs from their albums Culture Clash and Tres Caballeros, including a special pig-chicken number that I have no way of describing.

Marco’s eclectic drum solo and the dancing chimpanzees on the screen behind were the highlights.

Stage 1 then gave way to Stage 2 as ‘The Act’ compromising Avishek K.C and Bikrant Shrestha from Underside and Suzeena (Kramasha) on the vocals had their electro rock project swaying. Then came Space!

If everything stays on course, the band has it to make it to the big time. If the cliché ‘Watch this Space’ was ever appropriate, well it’s here.
