Two people died and 20 got injured when a bus fell off the road at Siluwa, Palpa district, police said. Lal Singh Thapa (38) and Yam Bahadur Thapa of Rampur, Palpa district, died after the bus (Na 4 Kha 9218), bound for Rampur from Butwal of Rupandehi district met with the accident at 10.45 pm on Saturday. The two died in course of treatment at Lumbini Medical College in Prabas, at around 4 am on Sunday.
Twenty of the injured are receiving treatment at the college. Their condition is said to be normal. The bus fell around 100 metres down the road.
In Rautahat, the driver of a tractor died after the vehicle turned turtle on Bagmati river banks, close to Samanpur, on Saturday afternoon. The victim is Rizwan Alam (21) of Samanpur-5.
