Three organisations of private schools — HISSAN, PABSON and N-PABSON — have warned that they will launch a coordinated movement if the Prachanda government does not take tough action against those involved in planting and detonating blasts at schools.

The warning comes after planting of IEDs and explosions at some schools in the Kathmandu Valley.

The three organisations issued the warning through a press release after their chiefs visited the schools concerned.

Speaking at a press conference at Reporters’ Club Nepal later, HISSAN president Ramesh Silwal said detonation of blasts at schools, a zone of peace, is a criminal act.

Silwal said the bomb terror is the result of weakness on the part of the state. He further said they will launch a decisive movement if the government does not take incidents like these seriously. Silwal appealed authorities concerned to stop donation terror and expansion of organisations involved in such acts.

PABSON chief Lakshya Bahadur KC also urged the government to take action against those involved in spreading donation terror.

N-PABSON chief Karna Bahadur Shahi said the Ministry of Education is to blame for incidents like these.

It is unfortunate that education ministry has chosen to keep mum even when private schools are coming under attack under political cover or in the name of organsations affiliated to certain parties.
