Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel says temporary teachers cannot be given another chance to become permanent teachers.

Pokharel clarifies that the temporary teachers cannot be given privilege many times just because they taught for many years.

Speaking at a meeting of Education and Health Committee in the House of Representatives on Wednesday, Pokhrael said the temporary teachers, who failed previous exams for permanent teachers or did not attend them, would be given a respectable farewell.

The government had conducted such exams twice around two years ago.

Those passing the tests have already been appointed permanent teachers; but those failed have been demanding a reexamination.

They have been launching different protest programmes frequently.
