State Affairs Committee to study draft of Staff Adjustment Ordinance

Kathmandu, November 21

Following concerns of stakeholders including lawmakers on various proposed provisions of the Staff Adjustment Ordinance that the government is planning to issue to facilitate the adjustment of civil servants at central, provincial and local levels, the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee of Parliament has decided to study the draft.

The Committee’s Chairperson Shashi Shrestha says she has told the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration to provide the draft.

Earlier, the Committee had verbally told the Ministry officials to send the draft. But, they did not heed, hence a letter has been issued now, according to the leader.

However, the Ministry has not responded to the letter yet though five days have been passed since the letter was deliver.

Shrestha informs that the Committee will begin a discussion once the draft will be available.
