South Asian body building competition in Kathmandu

The first edition of South Asian Bodybuilding Competition is going to kick off in Kathmandu on November 23, the organisers of the event informed.
Nepal Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (NFBF) said that a total of 100 participants–both male and female– from Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Afghanistan will participate in the competition.

The three-day competition will be held under the categories such as male bodybuilding, male physique, women fitness, and women physique, said NFBF President Shiva Lamichhane BK.

Male bodybuilding contest will be organised under different weight categories: 60 kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg, 80 kg, 85 and over, while women contestants will compete under specific eight groups, informed BK.

NFBF is a member of the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness, which has been organising ‘Mister Olympia’, the world famous bodybuilding contest.
