Shree Airlines says it will launch international flights at the regional level (within Southeast Asia) soon.

The company informs that it has already applied for the approval from Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation. Because it has already provided international helicopter service, the company hopes to get the licence very soon.

The company is planning to deploy currently available three aircraft for the international flights too. However, other aeroplanes will be purchased after the beginning of international flights, informs the company’s Marketing Manager Anil Manandhar.

He says the company will fly to various airports of India, Colombo of Sri Lana and Bangkok of Thailand in the first phase. These cities have been chosen as flights to these destinations take less than four hours. The currently available aircraft can fly without any halt upto four hours.

Currently, the company is operating flights from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi, Nepalgunj, Bhairahawa, Biratnagar and Bhadrapur.
