Kathmandu, April 30
Nepali Congress General Secretary Shashanka Koirala says his party’s senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel did not officially object to decisions made by the party’s recent Central Working Committee though he protested the decisions while speaking to journalists.
Koirala, who won the powerful position as a member of Paudel-led faction, says the senior leader protested the decisions just in a fit of rage.
Whereas the meeting had decided to hold the entire Central Working Committee responsible for the party’s humiliating performance in recent elections, Paudel had organised a press conference to argue that Deuba should take the responsibility.
“But Ram Chandra Dai said so just because he was angry,” Koirala clarified in front of journalists at the party’s central office today, “The decisions were made unanimously.”
In another context, Koirala said he would take initiatives to make Deuba and Paudel talk and find an understanding to appoint officials.
