Pokhara, June 29

CPN-UML General Secretary Ishwar Pokharel says his party will not support the constitution amendment bill unless it is justified.

Speaking with journalists in Pokhara of Kaski today, the leader said the party would not support the bill currently pending in Parliament as the proposals to increase the number of local levels in Province 2 and other proposals about naturalised citizenship and language were not justified.

Pokharel, however, maintained that his party believes constitution is a dynamic document and it is open to discuss amendment with any political force including the Rastriya Janata Party Nepal.

Meanwhile, the leader claimed his party would fare better in the second phase of local level elections than the first phase.
