Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Lalbabu Pandit, says government staff who do not want to report to their assigned workstations should quit the job.
As some organisations representing government staff demanded that the staff be allowed to choose their workstations as the country recently adopted new administrative setup, the Minister said the staff must go to and work at the station fixed by the government for them.
“As a servant to the nation, you should go where the government sends you,” he said, “Otherwise, you are free to quit and spend your life privately.”
He warned that the government would take action against the staff if they disobeyed the order.
In another context, the Minister claimed that the government was smoothly and effectively preparing for the staff adjustment to meet the need created by administrative restructuring.
