The company has been operating flights to four other destinations of the country, namely: Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide.

Meanwhile, the company organised a press conference in Kathmandu recently to make the announcement.

Australian Ambassador to Nepal, Peter Greme Budd; Qatar Ambassador Yousef Mohammed Al-Hail and the company’s Nepal Country Manager Jayaprakash Nair were present on the occasion.

“This new daily service will without doubt offer our Australian passengers more convenience and an extensive choice of destinations on our global network,” Nair said on the occasion.

Qatar Airways will operate its daily Canberra service with a Boeing B777 aircraft, which features 42 flatbed seats in Business Class and 316 seats in Economy Class. Passengers will be able to enjoy the airline’s superior entertainment system offering passengers a wide variety of entertainment options.
