Province 5 Chief Minister Shankar Pokhrel has directed officials to complete all national pride projects under construction in the province on time.
Pokhrel summoned chiefs or representatives of all national pride projects to his office and issued the directive.
Lumbini Master Plan, Gautam Buddha International Airport, Sikta Irrigation Project, Babai Irrigation Project, Postal Highway, Bheri-Babai Diversion and Mid-Hill Pushpa Lal Highway are national pride projects being carried out in the province.
During the meeting, CM Pokhrel said objectives of development and prosperity set by the government would not be met on time if the project missed their deadline.
He assured that his government would provide needful support to the projects if they communicated about the needs on time.
The project heads, however, complained that the government did not provide them sufficient budget to complete the projects on time. Likewise, they added that the government did not carry out a proper study to begin the projects.
