The Province 3 and Sudurpaschim provincial governments on Tuesday decided to provide support worth Rs 10 million to survivors of a storm in Bara and Parsa districts of Province 2 on Sunday.

Spokesperson of the Province 3 Council of Ministers and Minister for Financial Affairs and Planning, Kailash Dhungel, informs that the fund support will be transferred to the survivors via Province 2 government.

Earlier on Monday, Province 3 Chief Minister Dor Mani Poudel and ministers Shalik Ram Jamakattel and Yuba Raj Dulal had visited the affected region.

On the occasion, CM Poudel had assured the survivors that his government would provide support to them.

Poudel said the support would continue in the future as well.

The Province 2 government has announced to give Rs 300,000 to each family who members have been killed in the accident.

The federal government, however, has not announced any concrete relief programme, except bearing the cost of treatment.

Meanwhile, the Sudurpaschim government also made the similar decision today, according to Prakash Bahadur Shah, Minister for Internal Affairs and Law.
