The Province 3 Assembly endorsed total 24 bills for enactment in past one year. Total 28 bills were registered at the legislative body in this period, but four of them are yet to be finalised.
The Assembly marked the completion of one year from its first meeting on Friday.
Speaking at a function organised to mark the occasion, Chief Minister Dor Mani Paudel said the provincial government also made ‘sufficient progress’ during this period.
He, however, maintained that the public would experience benefits from the progress gradually now onwards.
Meanwhile, leader of the main opposition party, Indra Baniya demanded that the Assembly convene its next session at the earliest. In response, Speaker Sanu Kumar Shrestha said the meeting would be called next week.
