Prakash Man Singh accuses Nepali Congress leadership of lack of transparency

Kathmandu, April 11

Influential leader of the main opposition Nepali Congress Prakash Man Singh has said the party’s financial activities lack transparency.

Even though Singh brought out the topic of financial transparency, he did not want to discuss it further. “The financial activities are not transparent. We need to make sure they are,” he said speaking at a function in Kathmandu.

He added that the party was losing trust among the public and said that a review must me done.

Singh also accused the party leadership of going against the rules and regulations of the party. “The party is being involved in one controversy after another, which is not good. This has too change otherwise the party will never rise,” he said.

He also accused the government of going against rules and set procedures, and added that his party was staying silent while the government was doing so.
