Biratnagar, January 15
Minister for Information and government Spokesperson, Ram Karki, on Sunday ruled out early expansion of the Prachanda Cabinet.
Karki said this amid rumours that the Prachanda-led government plans to bring in more ministers in a bid to ensure passage of the Constitution Amendment Bill through the Parliament.
Karki, talking to journalists at Biratnagar, described rumours about Cabinet expansion as baseless.
In response to a query, government Spokesperson Karki said the government is preparing to announce the date for local level elections in a few days by reaching an understanding with political parties. He said internal preparations for the polls are now complete.
