PPL: Airee leads from the front as Dhangadi edge Pokhara

Kathmandu, November 2

Dhangadhi Blues edged an in-form Pokhara Paltan by 2 wickets thanks to a skipper’s knock by Dipendra Singh Airee in their league match of the ongoing Pokhara Premiere League.

Dhangadhi were on the verge of a defeat when Airee came in and made 49 runs off 26 balls. He hit four sixes and four fours to guide his team towards victory.

The day’s encounter was a must-win for Dhangadhi to remain in contention of the title. Dhangadhi is, however, yet to cement its place in the playoff. Having won the toss, Pokhara decided to bat first. The home squad made 144 runs in its allotted 20 overs. Dhangadhi snatched a win in the final over of the match with two wickets in hand.

Both Pokhara and Dhangadhi remain in contention for a playoff spot in the tournament being played in Pokhara.
