Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel proposed that local polls be postponed for a few days so that it can be conducted on the same day across the country.
Speaking at a press meet organised by Nepal Press Union, Poudel said, “Elections could be postponed for a few days to allow the Madhesi Morcha to take part.”
Paudel accused the Morcha of aggravating the situation by rejecting the constitution amendment bill prepared to address its demands.
He claimed that the new amendment proposal registered in Parliament was prepared with the consent of the Morcha, but it surprisingly rejected it.
