Police have resorted to baton charge on a crowd of people who were trying to barge into the fenced Baarhabigha ground of Janakpur, where Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will receive a civic felicitation.

The local government had announced to make around 100,000 people participate at the event. But, the venue witnessed more than the expected participants, creating difficulty for the security personnel to handle the crowd.

The narrow entrance is making it difficult for such huge crowd to pass. Police had to baton charge as the crowd tried to jump over the barred fence.

The Indian Prime Minister is scheduled to receive a civic felicitation at around ground after he worships the Janaki Temple.
