PM Oli’s first public appearance after Dashain

KP Sharma Oli

Kathmandu, November 7

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is attending a function organised on the occasion of 109th birth anniversary of Mahakavi Laxmi Prasad Devkota on Wednesday afternoon.

This will be Oli’s first public appearance in past three weeks.

Oli was on bed rest after he suffered chest infection among other ailments immediately after Dashain. He had stayed at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital for four days last week.

During Dashain, on October 23, Oli had inaugurated an electric bus service in Kathmandu and it was his last public appearance.

It has also been said that Oli’s busy schedule during the festival resulted in the infection.

The Wednesday function will be organised at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar itself. Officials at his secretariat says Oli will not leave Baluwatar for next few years.
