Oli, Modi to sign Raxual-Kathmandu railway agreement

Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to sign an agreement with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi to extend a railway track from Raxual, an Indian city across Birgunj, to Kathmandu.

The agreement will be signed during a meeting to be held today. The agreement will pave the way for expending the railway to the Nepali capital as Oli has been talking about various railway projects of late.

Meanwhile, Oli and Modi held a bilateral meeting today.

Details of their discussions are yet to be divulged.

Modi is in Kathmandu to attend the fourth summit of Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation that concluded here today.
