Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s Private Secretariat has confirmed cancellation of his planned visit to the US.
As per the original plan, PM was to leave soon for attending the United Nations General Assembly in New York after completing his four-day visit to India. But PM decided not to attend the session taking into account demands of agitating Madheshi and Tharu communities to focus on resolution of domestic political problems, a source close to PM Dahal said.
Minister for Foreign Affairs and a member of the PM’s team that visited India, Prakash Sharan Mahat, has already left for New York for the UNGA.
