Nepal Investment Summit: Investors interested in 26 of 77 projects showcased

 

Kathmandu, April 21

Three weeks after the government’s flagship Nepal Investment Summit, Investment Board of Nepal has received applications for developing 26 of the 77 projects showcased during the event.

Investors have expressed a lot of interest in projects related to transportation infrastructure. Investors have also shown interest in five projects not showcased at the summit.

During the investment summit held from March 29-30, a total of 77 projects (50 private sector-backed and 27 government-backed) were presented before investors. According to the board, six proposals have been received to develop the Nijgadh International Airport, four for the Outer Ring Road, Two for the Dhangadhi Regjonal Airport and two for the International Convention Centre in Bhaktapur.
