Kathmandu, April 10
A Nepal Airlines senior pilot was caught with $93,000 as he prepared to fly to Dubai on Sunday.
Senior pilot Suwarna Awale was part of the Nepal Airlines flight 229 to Dubai scheduled for Sunday. He was caught with the undeclared cash during a routine security check.
Another pilot, Maheshman Dangol, who was on standby was called in to fly the plane. An investigation is underway, said police.
According to police, Awale was detained at Gaushala Police Station overnight and handed over to the revenue investigation department in the morning.
