Kathmandu, November 19

Preparations are underway to hold the Secretariat meeting of the ruling Nepal Communist Party on Thursday, November 22, said the party’s central office.

The meeting could not be held for the past one month due to various reasons including the ill health of Prime Minister and party chair KP Sharma Oli and festivals, said Secretary of the central office Krishna Gopal Shrestha.

The meeting will discuss issues regarding giving full-shape to the party’s provincial committees, formation of the district committees, unification of sister organisations, the agenda and schedule for holding the standing committee meeting, review of the performance of party, parliament and the government and management of the central office, according to him.

The last Secretariat meeting was held on October 25.

“Party’s senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, who is on a foreign visit, is returning home on coming Wednesday. Thereafter the meeting will be held,” he said.
