Kathmandu, December 2

The ruling Nepal Communist Party has decided to form an eighth ‘special provincial’ committee in addition to seven provincial committees of its national organisation.

A recent meeting of the party Secretariat has finalised names of the leaders to be included in the eight committees recently. The party’s General Secretary Bishnu Paudel will make the names public today, according to the party sources.

The special committee will lead and supervise panels of professionals, labourers, students, youth, industrialists and businesspersons close to the party, informs Secretariat member Ishwar Pokharel.

He adds that the party will also form five special district committees in addition to 77 district committees.

The party had already named chairs and secretaries of seven provincial committees. The eighth committee, however, was not formed then.
