Narayangadh-Muglin road to remain open round the clock for Holi revellers

File: Expansion work is underway along Narayangadh-Muglin road in Chitwan.

Chitwan, March 1

The Narayangadh-Muglin road of Chitwan district, which remains close for six hours every day for expansion and maintenance work for last few weeks, will be open round the clock on Thursday and Friday so as to facilitate the movement of Holi celebrators.

The annual festival, widely regarded as the festival of colours, will be celebrated in hilly and mountainous districts on Thursday and in the plains tomorrow.

The road project office issued an statement to inform that the construction works would be halted for these two days.

Chief of the District Traffic Police Office Santosh Panta says police have also informed transporters about the halt.

Expansion and maintenance works are underway along the vital road connecting Kathmandu and East-West Highway for over two years. So far, only 75 per cent works have been done.
