Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Raghubir Mahaseth says even he should be ready to resign as lawmaker if the party calls on him to make for NCP leader Bamdev Gautam, who lost the Bardiya seat during the general elections.

Speaking at a programme in Kathmandu, Mahesth said, “Even I am ready to quit if the party wants me to do so. If the party wants it all of us should be ready to quit because the party’s interest is greater than personal interest.”

Mahaseth, who is also a standing committee member, said that the party has not yet decided to recall its MP from Kathmandu-7 to make way for senior leader Bamdev Gautam.
