Maoist Centre blames UML for failure to endorse constitution amendment

The ruling CPN-Maoist Centre has said the constitution amendment bill failed to get endorsed from Parliament on Monday because of the man opposition CPN-UML.

A meeting of the party held this morning decided that it was unfortunate that the bill, which could unify the whole nation, got rejected by the House.

Meanwhile, the meeting demanded that the government ensure that victims of recent floods and landslides have got enough relief support.

It urged the government to provide Rs 300,000 to each family of the deceased and Rs 500,000 for their resettlement, according to party spokesperson Pampha Bhusal.
