Sadbhawana Party chief Rajendra Mahato says the Madheshi Morcha will boycott elections if the constitution is not amended before polls take place.
The Morcha decided to withdraw support to the Prachanda government because it did not adhere to the three-point agreement reached ahead of the Prime Minister’s swearing-in, he said. Mahato added that his alliance will launch a non-coperation movement if the government did not correct its course.
Alluding to the UML’s Mechi-Mahakali campaign, Mahato said the Morcha had not denied the main opposition its right to organise rallies in Madhesh. “It is the people who do not want the UML to organise rallies in Madhesh,” he said.
