Kathmandu, February 1
The Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee has started hearing on the appointment of three election commissioners.
Wednesday’s meeting of the committee initiated the hearing process. It has asked all concerned to forward their complaints, if any, against the three candidates.
As per constitutional provisions, nominees get the jobs once the committee endorses their nominations. Some days ago, the Constitutional Council had recommended former bureaucrats Narendra Dahal, Ishwari Prasad Poudel and Sudhir Kumar Shah for the post of election commissioners.
