Former Crown Prince Paras Shah has visited shrines of his family gods in Gorkha on Wednesday.

Shah reached Gorkha last night and visited Goddess Kali (Gorakhkali)’s temple on the hilltop this morning.

The former royal reached the temple around 10 am with his entourage and stayed there for two and half hours. He offered a puja to appease Goddess Kali. He also offered puja at the Gorakhnath cave.

After his visit to the temples, he also visited a museum near the Gorkha Bazaar area and showed curiosity about the various artefact kept at the museum.

His final programme in the town was to put a garland on the statue of Late Prithvi Narayan Shah, the first king of unified Nepal. According to sources, this visit was purely religious and did not have any political motive.
