EPS 2019: Over 82,000 Nepali youth apply for 7,100 jobs in South Korea

Kathmandu, April 2

More than 82,000 youth from across the country have applied for 7,100 jobs in South Korea under the Employment Permit System for the year 2019, says the Nepal government.

Total 42,624 persons have applied for productive industrial jobs whereas 39,640 for agriculture, according to Shobhakar Bhandari, spokesperson at the EPS Section under the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security.

The official informs that 4,800 persons will be selected in the productive category whereas 2,300 for agricutural jobs.

The total number of applicants is around 7,000 more than that of last year. Around 80 per cent of the applicants are men.

Meanwhile, the Section is conducting language examinations for the candidates on June 9 and 10. The examinations will be held in Kathmandu and Kathmandu.

There are around 70,000 examinees in Kathmandu and the rest in Pokhara.
