EPL: Bhairahawa Gladiators reach qualifiers after defeating Chitwan Tigers

Bhairahawa Gladiators

Kathmandu, December 26

Bhairahawa Gladiators have become the second team to reach the qualifiers of ongoing Everest Premier League as they defeated Chitwan Tigers by four wickets in the match held today.

The result also means that Pokhara Rhinos will play an eliminator though they are yet to play a game in the group stage–against Lalitpur Patriots.

In the match held at the TU cricket stadium in Kirtipur of the capital, Gladiators met the target of 88 runs at the loss of six wickets.

In the first innings, Tigers made meagre 87 runs in allocated 20 overs at the loss of nine wickets as no batsmen could play well.

Gladiators too could not begin the second innings impressively as they lost both the openers for just one run. Rohit Paudel and Punit Mishra’s 46-run patnership in the fourth wicket was significant for them for the victory.
