Kathmandu, July 10
King’s College, a leading business college in Kathmandu, held its convocation ceremony in Kathmandu on Friday, July 7.
A total of 230 business and management students including 166 MBA graduates and 64 BBA graduates from different academic years were conferred with the degrees.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Education, Gopal Man Shrestha, who had chaired the ceremony, congratulated all the graduates and expressed his belief that they would utilise their knowledge and skills for the development of the country.
Thanking the King’s College for providing Nepali students with the international degrees at home, the Minister also expressed that the education provided by private colleges under the affiliation of international universities was still not accessible to all.
“Our students can compete at the global level only if we provide them with the research-based advanced education,” he said.
Stating that his Ministry has left no stones unturned for the development and promotion of country’s education sector, Minister Shrestha also called for government and private sector collaboration to give the sector a new and progressive face.
King’s College has been running BBA and MBA courses with the affiliation of Westcliff University, USA.
