DPM Pokhrel highlights need of practical education

Kathmandu, April 12

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Ishwar Pokharel has said a foundation has been created to transform the existing education system into a practical one.

In his address to the 56th anniversary celebrations of Tangal Secondary School in Tangal of Kathmandu today, the deputy prime minister highlighted the need of a change in Nepal’s education system, which according to him, lacked practical applications.

“Graduates are unemployed due to absence of practical education. But, now a base for the same has been built and the government is planning to implement the technical education, upon the same ground.”

He took a lot of his time to assure that people need not wait for more to see the results of development.

On the occasion, he also awarded the students securing outstanding results in final exams of various grades.
