DPM Pokharel to represent govt in Adhikari’s funeral

Kathmandu, March 1

The government has decided to send Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Ishwar Pokharel to Pokhara of Kaski district to attend the funeral of Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Rabindra Adhikari, who died in a helicopter crash two days ago.

Pokharel will drape the national flag on Adhikari’s body before the cremation at local Ramghat this afternoon. Earlier, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had draped the national flag while paying last tributes to him this morning.

Meanwhile, the Nepal Communist Party, which Adhikari was a member of, has decided to send its two key leaders, Bamdev Gautam and Narayan Kaji Shrestha, to Pokhara to attend the funeral.

They will drape the party flag on Adhikari’s body.
