Don’t postpone poll campaigns citing my son’s death: Dahal

CPN-Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal says his party does not need to  stop election campaigns owing to the death of his son, Prakash.

Party spokesperson Pampha Bhusal says Dahal has directed all ranks and files of the party to continue their campaigns uninterruptedly.

“Reports have said poll programmes have been postponed in various districts,” Bhusal says, “But, our Chairman has directed them not to halt any function.”

Meanwhile, leaders of the party who had been mobilised in various districts for poll campaigning have come to Kathmandu to pay their final tributes to Prakash. Currently, his body has been kept at the party headquarters, Parisdanda.

He will be created at the Pashupati Aryaghat this afternoon.
