Pokhara, April 12
Nepali Congress president Sher Bahadur Deuba said the New Year 2076, which the country is marking this Sunday, should begin the unity in his party.
A message of party unification should reach people’s doorsteps, he said, stressing the need for party leaders and cadres to come together for the upcoming parliamentary byelections.
He was speaking at a reception organised here by the Nepal Women Association, NC’s women wing, on the occasion of New Year, 2076, on Friday.
He also extended his good wishes to all Nepalis on the occasion of the New Year.
Meanwhile, NC senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel viewed that failure to organise the party’s general assembly on time would cause irreparable loss to the party, while asserting that the assembly was needed to bring reforms in the party itself.
He also urged the Association to form its branches at various villages.
