Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has termed the tendency against party unity as a betrayal to the party, while emphasising collective efforts to overcome this malpractice.

It was against the system established by the party late leader BP Koirala within the party, he said.

“The party is messed up now. Lack of disciplinary practices and pervasiveness of self-centred attitude are taking over. I will not keep quiet. None will be spared if found involved in such misconducts,” he said, pledging to come up with a drive against it.

He said so while inaugurating an interaction on ‘leadership development and collective bargaining’ held today here on the occasion of the 105th birth anniversary of BP Koirala.

Admitting errors within the party leadership in the Congress electoral defeats, he said, “We all are responsible for the loss, not outsiders.”

The former Prime Minister also accused the incumbent government of plotting to dismantle all types of structures of the country.
