Dahal discusses Nepal-China relations with visiting official

The ruling Nepal Communist Party Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Monday has held a meeting with Vice Minister of International Department of the Communist Party of China, Wang Yajun, to discuss various aspects of Nepal-China relations.

Dahal’s secretariat says the two leaders discussed how China could help Nepal’s journey towards economic prosperity.

During the meeting, the former Prime Minister said China’s speedy economic development was an inspiration for Nepal, and expressed his hope that the northern neighbour would continue extending support to Nepal.

In response, Wang said China was always ready to support Nepali people’s efforts for progress and prosperity. Expressing his happiness for the unification between two communist parties into the Nepal Communist Party, the official said it was a right time to extend Nepal-China relations further.

Earlier, on Sunday, Wang had paid a courtesy call on another NCP Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
