Congress leading as results from 21 local units out

Kathmandu, September 21

The Nepali Congress has maintained a clear lead over other parties as results from 21 of 136 local units of Province 2 have come out as of 1 pm on Thursday.

So far, the Congress has won top positions in seven local units and leading the count in other 29 places.

Following the Congress is the CPN-UML, which has won top positions in four local units and leading the vote count in 16 places.

The CPN-Maoist Centre is likely to come ahead of the UML as it is leading in 19 places and has already won top positions in three places.

Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal has won in 3 places and is leading in 15. Likewise, Rastriya Janata Party Nepal has won in two places and is leading in other 16 local units.

The Nepal Democratic Forum has won in two places and is leading in one.
