Breach of Nepali sovereignty at Ananda Bazaar sparks protests in Kailali, Kanchanpur districts

Kailali, March 10

Kailali and Kanchanpur districts have erupted in protest after the death of a Nepali national, Govinda Gautam (30), during the SSB firing in course of a border dispute, at the Nepali territory of Ananda Nagar on Thursday.

Sporting the national flag, protesters took out a rally from Dhangadhi, district headquarters of Kailali. They are currently staging a demonstration in the border point of Trinagar. Police have stopped enraged protesters, who were trying to breach the fence along the Nepal-India border and enter Gaurifanta.

These demonstrators are also protesting against Nepali security agencies for not responding to India’s excesses.

In Ananda Bazaar also, Nepali nationals are protesting against the breach of Nepal’s sovereignty.

On Thursday evening, protesters torched an Indian truck.
