Bhim Rawal demands government conduct provincial, federal polls in one go

CPN-UML leader Bhim Rawal

Chitwan, August 3

CPN-UML Vice-Chairman Bhim Rawal says the government should hold elections to the Provincial Assembly and the House of Representatives at federal level at once.

“The UML demands that the government hold provincial and parliamentary elections in one go,” he says, “But, the government is hatching conspiracy to take more time under various pretexts.”

Rawal was in Chitwan today reportedly to prepare for the repolling in ward 19 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City scheduled for tomorrow.

Upon questions from journalists that if his visit breached the election code of conduct, he mentioned Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba also visited Chitwan yesterday.

PM Deuba, also the Nepali Congress President, had visited Chitwan yesterday to monitor the Narayangadh-Muglin road.

“If the Prime Minister can,” Rawal said, “The opposition leader also can make a visit.”
